![]() ![]() It is not until the user js06 joined the website on January 2011, at the height of the Toaru Majutsu no Index II anime, that the translations were from the original Japanese sources. The page for the Toaru Majutsu no Index was created on February 2009 and consisted mostly of English translations that were translated from the official Chinese localizations of the light novels. Prior to Yen Press licensing the Toaru Majutsu no Index novels, the entire novel series, including Shinyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index, the sidestories, and parody stories, were hosted in the website. The website also has a forum, an IRC channel, and hosts original light novels and visual novel translations. Its aim is to promote the popularity of light novels and serve as a hub to connect readers with fan translations of East Asian light novels on the Internet. However, it also hosts translations in 25 different languages. Founded in 2006, the website claims that it has "expanded to become the largest fan-based English light novel agglomerate on the Internet". Baka-Tsuki is a website that primarily hosts unlicensed fan translations of light novels in the Wiki format. ![]()
